Raising the Bar
At the Upper Valley Aquatic Center (UVAC), we believe that behind every great swimmer is a knowledgeable, dedicated, and professional coach. That is why we are thrilled to announce a significant milestone for our program: our entire UVAC Swim Team coaching staff has achieved 100% ASCA Membership!
What is ASCA?
The American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) is the world’s leading organization dedicated to supporting and developing swim coaches. Their mission is to advocate for coaches by providing access to elite educational resources, leadership training, and certification pathways.
Why This Matters for Our Athletes
Achieving 100% ASCA Membership isn't just a badge of honor for our coaching staff, it’s a commitment to our UVAC swimmers and their families. By ensuring every one of our coaches is an active ASCA member, we are:
- Prioritizing Professionalism: We are building a culture rooted in accountability and excellence.
- Staying at the Forefront: Our coaches have access to world-class tools and mentorship to stay updated on the latest coaching techniques.
- Fostering Growth: Jennifer LaMont, CEO of ASCA, notes that "families trust programs that prioritize education," and this achievement proves we are dedicated to lifelong learning.
A Word From Our Team
Head Coach Ian Quinn shared that this accomplishment "reflects our staff’s shared commitment to staying at the forefront of coaching knowledge so we can better support our UVAC athletes and families".
UVAC now joins an elite group of clubs nationwide that prioritize a professional coaching culture where athletes can truly thrive. We are proud of our team’s hard work and can’t wait to see how this continued dedication translates to success in the pool!
