At Upper Valley Aquatic Center, giving back to our community is part of who we are and we know our members feel the same way! One simple but powerful way to help others is by donating blood. Every donation has the potential to save more than one life.
Why Your Donation Matters
When you give blood, you’re providing a lifeline for patients in hospitals every day - accident victims, surgery patients, new mothers, and those battling cancer. Blood transfusions are often vital throughout cancer treatment when the body’s bone marrow can’t produce enough platelets. Your donations at our drives are a wonderful way to honor our PALS for Life cancer survivors and countless others in treatment and recovery.
The Importance of Diverse Donors
Did you know that matching blood types is about more than just ABO and Rh factors? Certain rare blood types and subtle genetic differences can make a huge difference in providing compatible transfusions, especially for patients with conditions like sickle cell disease, which primarily affects people of African descent.
By encouraging donors from all backgrounds to give blood, we can help ensure every patient gets the best possible match when they need it most.

Red Cross Classes
The Upper Valley Aquatic Center offers a full spectrum of American Red Cross courses for individuals and organizations who need group training. We have seasonal training for all of your safety needs. CPR/AED/FIRST AID, Lifeguard Certification, Re-certification. Our resident Red Cross Director can even come to your camp, school, business, or center to certify your staff.
