Do Not Resuscitate (DNR)
UVAC’s policy regarding Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) is that staff will initiate life-saving measures for any member or guest in distress and will continue care until Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrive.
This policy is in place for several reasons, including—but not limited to—the inability of UVAC staff to verify the authenticity of a DNR order and variations in DNR laws from state to state in the US.
