As part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment, UVAC staff will participate in a Code Red: Fire Within the Building Safety Training on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at 11:00 AM.
This training will help ensure our team is fully prepared to respond quickly and effectively in the event of a fire within the facility. Staff will review emergency communication protocols, evacuation procedures, and specific role responsibilities to support a safe and coordinated response.
What members can expect during the drill:
A PA announcement will be made at the start of the exercise.
You may see staff moving quickly through the building as they report to assigned locations.
Staff will round up and escort individuals to designated exits as part of the drill.
Members are not required to initiate any action on their own. We simply ask that you remain calm and follow any directions provided by staff during the exercise.
We understand that emergency trainings can be disruptive or concerning to some. We are sharing this information in advance so you are aware of the exercise.
